Brian Mwila scored a hat-trick to guide Zanaco to an emphatic 3-0 win over Konkola Blades ending a three match winless run.

The former Buildcon and Green Buffaloes forward came off the bench to open his goal account for the Bankers before going on to net a hat-trick.

Mwila replaced Francis Mustafa who had an early booking in the 32nd minute and only needed four minutes to break the deadlock, heading in a Mousa Souleymanou cross at the near post.

The match went to the break with Zanaco leading 1-0.

Mwila picked up where he left off in the second half as he doubled the lead in the 62nd minute, Souleymanou again with the cross, Mwila controlled the ball with his chest before firing in from inside the area, 2-0.

Mwila sealed the win with his third of the match, another header this time off a brilliant Charles Zulu Cross.

The win takes the Bankers to fifth place momentarily as the other matches of week eight swings into action.
