Czech Republic based midfielder Benson Sakala is expected to return to the Chipolopolo Boys starting lineup for tomorrow’s Encounter.

The Copper Bullets will open their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification journey with a home tie against Congo Brazzaville.

Sakala will take up the place of the injured Kelvin Kapumbu who has been ruled out of the back to back matches.

Sakala came off the bench in September to replace Kapumbu in the 1-1 draw against Comoros in an AFCON qualifier.

Sakala is likely to be partnered by the General, Emmanuel Banda and Klings Kangwa.

Banda will continue his box to box duties with Kangwa playing a more advanced role.

Kangwa and Banda have been in fantastic form since Avram Grant’s arrival.

Grant also has options in Clatous Chota Chama, Rally Bwalya, Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Golden Mafwenta and Andrew Mupande.

The Chipolopolo Boys welcome Congo Brazzaville in their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers tomorrow.

Kick off at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is set for 18h00. Tickets are currently on sale at ShopRite Stores Country wide via Computicketing from as low as K50.
