Government has banned the movement and slaughter of domestic animals and wildlife from nine districts affected by Anthrax.
The Districts are LUMEZI, KAZUNGULA, MONZE , MONGU, NALOLO, SENANGA, SIOMA and SESHEKE.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister, MAKOZO CHIKOTE says the vaccination of animals in Southern Province is underway while for Eastern and Western Province plans are under way to send vaccines.
Mr CHIKOTE has assured the public that the country has capacity to produce Anthrax vaccines to respond to all the vaccine needs.
Mr CHIKOTE, who is also Acting Information and Media Minister, was speaking during a joint press briefing with Tourism Minister, RODNEY SIKUMBA.
And, Mr SIKUMBA advised people with hunting concessions to go to the Ministry of Tourism for re-allocation of hunting areas for those who have concessions in infected areas.
He said the Ministry will uphold the instituted animal and trophy movement ban from high risk areas.
