Fisheries and Livestock Minister, MAKOZO CHIKOTE told parliament that measures are being put in place to curb the Anthrax outbreaks in the country.

Mr CHIKOTE says the Ministry is also collaborating with the Ministry of Health to ensure that those affected receive treatment.

He was responding to Chama South Member of Parliament, DAVISON MUNG’ANDU who wanted to know whether Government is aware of the outbreak of the disease in Lumezi .

This was during the Matters of Urgent Public Importance.

And Mr. CHIKOTE said Government is putting long term measure to avoid sell of meat suspected to to have anthrax.
