Eastern Province Permanent Secretary PAUL THOLE says all the districts in the region have received basal dressing fertiliser under the Farmer Input Support Programme.
Mr THOLE says the region is now waiting for top dressing fertiliser.
He says the region is likely to record a bumper harvest next year depending on the rainfall pattern.
Mr THOLE was speaking when Ministry of Information and Media Director THABO KAWANA called on him in Chipata.
And Mr KAWANA said the provincial administration is doing well in ensuring that services are provided to the people.
He expressed gratitude with the manner the Constituency Development Fund is being utilised in the region.
Mr KAWANA cited the completion of a one by three classroom block at Nadalitsika Primary School as one of the many CDF successful projects.
