Ruth Chayinda-Vice President INONGE WINA says government is keeping track of all donations towards the Covid-19 fight.
The Vice President said this is to ensure that the donates materials by various stakeholders reach the intended beneficiaries.
Mrs WINA said this through Minister in the office of the Vice President OLIPA PHIRI when she received various items donated by the Zambia Somali Friendship Association and the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church International ECG at the DMMU offices in Lusaka .
She has also thanked the donors and assured them that the materials will assist the country in providing for the people in need.
And DMMU National Coordinator CHANDA KABWE has encouraged youths to take advantage of the effects of climate change to come up with innovative ideas that will transform their economic status.
Mr KABWE said effects of climate change, have created various opportunities that youths should tap into, instead of taking their grievances to the streets.
And, ZSFA Chairperson MOHAMUD MOHAMED and ECG National Pastor ADAMSON NKHOMA said the donations made towards Covid -19 is aimed at helping meet the needs of the vulnerable.
The donated items include 3- thousand litres of fuel, mealie meal , face masks, hand sanitzers ,and washing powder.
