The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- says the media is a key stakeholder in ensuring the newly launched Zambian Premier League -ZPL- becomes an attractive brand.

FAZ President ANDREW KAMANGA says the launch of the ZPL has presented numerous opportunities that will see media and marketing take center stage in the league’s success.

KAMANGA says it is therefore important that the media lead the way in helping teams improve their ways of operation to meet the expectations of the public.

KAMANGA was speaking during the official opening of the Super league and Provincial media officers workshop in Lusaka today.

And FAZ General Secretary REUBEN KAMANGA said it is mandatory that all clubs have media personnel to ease operations.

Speaking at the same event MultiChoice Head of Corporate Affairs CHILUFYA MWELWA said the workshop is necessary for promoting best football practices in Zambia.
