The Eastern Province health office says over 880,000 children have received polio vaccination.
The office also received 68 refusals owing to religious beliefs.
Public Health Specialist CHARLES FANAKA said Chipata district recorded the highest number of vaccinations at 138,000 children while Lusangazi district was the lowest at 21,171.
And Dr. FANAKA said the provincial health office in collaboration with stakeholders will distribute one million four hundred and eight two thousand long lasting insecticide treated nets in the province.
