Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister JACK MWIIMBU has confirmed that over 83,000 members of the National Pension Scheme Authority -NAPSA are sharing 39,000 National Registration Cards -NRCs.
Mr. MWIIMBU says this anomaly is because of forgery and clerical mistakes made in the past.
Speaking in Parliament when responding to Roan Member of Parliament JOEL CHIBUYE who wanted to know if the government is aware of that anomaly, Mr. MWIIMBU said some people who forged their NRCs have since been arrested and prosecuted.
He revealed that some of the clerical errors on NRCs were created between 1980 and 2010 when the manual registration cards were issued in large numbers.
