7 more suspects believed to have been involved in the burning of two properties belonging to Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe after accusing him of allocating them illegal plots have been apprehended bringing the number of suspects arrested so far to 9.
Recently, irate Chingola residents whose houses were demolished for being illegally built on land belonging to Kasompe airstrip, accused Mr. Kang’ombe of being the one who sold them the plots and burned down his guesthouse and servants quarter.
Copperbelt Province Police Commanding Officer Sharon Zulu has confirmed that 7 more suspects have been apprehended including a Grade 6 pupil for the offence of arson.
