(ZANIS) About 476 dogs in Senanga district of Western Province have been vaccinated against rabies.
This is from the 500 free doses of vaccines against rabies procured by the government through the department of Livestock.
The exercise was done during the three days awareness campaign against prevention of rabies by the one health Advocacy Communication and Training prior to the World Rabies Day which fell yesterday.
Senanga District Commissioner ZITA SIPALO who graced the event said there is need for collaboration across sectors, bridging the gaps between veterinary and human healthcare, environmental protection and community engagement.
