“2024-budget-will-unlock-economy”-~

The National Union of Miners and Allied Workers -NUMAW- is impressed that the government has made a serious commitment to unlocking the economy following the 2024 National Budget presentation.

NUMAW President SAUL SIMUJIKA says the government has expressed its determination to do a lot of geological mapping and mineral exploration which will increase investment in the mining sector.

In an interview with ZNBC News in Kitwe today, Mr. SIMUJIKA expressed optimism on the 2024 budget.

And an economist on the Copperbelt AARON SIKOMBE has described the 2024 budget as progressive in the country’s effort to achieve fiscal discipline and bring down the high cost of living.

Mr. SIKOMBE says the 2024 budget has given hope to the mining sector as Mopani and KCM will be running at full capacity soon.
