Former World Boxing Council -WBC- super bantamweight champion Catherine Phiri has been declared fit for her title rematch against defending Champion Fatuma Zarika.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotion Manager Christopher Malunga said Catherine has been medically cleared ahead of the fight on March 23rd, 2019 in Nairobi Kenya.
Malunga said Catherine is in good shape and has been in camp for the past two months preparing for the fight.
And Catherine said she is confident of victory this time around.
Catherine said she has learnt from the mistakes in the previous fight.
She said her target is to come back with the title.
Meanwhile, Malunga has also disclosed that Big Tree Beverages will from now on sponsor the boxing kit for Oriental Quarries boxers.
Last time the two met, Fatuma Zarika retained her title by beating Catherine by unanimous points decision in a 10-round bout at Carnivore Grounds in Kenya.
