Over 200 Junior golfers have been trained under the Lusaka Golf Club’s development golf program.
Program Coordinator RICHARD PHIRI says this is aimed at turning all beginners into professional golf players and also expose them to other opportunities within the Sport.
PHIRI says for 2023, 80 golfers will be trained in the sport with the ages ranging from 5 to 18 years.
He says there is a need for more young people to take up golf as a sport as it helps inculcate good morals .
PHIRI told ZNBC Sports News in an interview that the program is fully functional all year round and has produced some household names like Sydney WEMBA and others who are abroad.
